Fundamentals of Anthroposophic Medicine

Foundation Studies is an international, one-year, online-based course of study for all healthcare professions. The aim is to introduce students to the concepts, working methods and therapeutic options of anthroposophic medicine. Learning elements are self-study and regional or digital collaboration in mentored learning groups and eight live-stream sessions.

Foundation Studies is conducted online and can be completed from anywhere. The learning content is spread across eight modules. Each module begins with a half-day live-streamed session. Between each Live Session, additional study material and supplementary lectures are made available on our online learning platform. Study groups (in-person or online) offer opportunities for regular exchange.

The certificate of attendance contains proof of the hours of further training completed. A detailed list of the course content can be issued on request. It enables the hours to be submitted for recognition procedures or to maintain existing titles. Foundation Studies is recognized by the GAÄD Academy in Germany with 100 hours of contact time and 100 hours of personal work and in Switzerland by the VAOAS with 75 credits. Foundation Studies also fulfills the quality requirements of the Association for Anthroposophic Nursing in Switzerland (APIS-SAES).
