What is the Anthroposophical Medical Trust?
The Anthroposophical Medical Trust (AMT) is a registered charitable trust which receives and administers financial resources from various sources and makes them available in service of anthroposophic medical work in the UK.
Introducing “Talander” – a way of working with finance for the medical community
This is our name for the process of working for the financial support of the anthroposophic medical community.
Mutual financial support within the Talander Community is available to anyone who sees their work as connected to the Medical Section.
What’s involved?
Becoming part of this community involves sharing your professional and/or organisational biography with all the members of this community, along with transparent financial information.
In a socially guided process of sharing, a conversation can arise about the resources, problems and strengths, challenges and opportunities in our mutual work. This contributes to the building up of a picture of medical work in the UK, right into its economic life.
From this conversation, and as an activity of the economic life of the Medical Section, the community can recommend to the AMT where and how its finances can be directed – for example whether in gifting money to projects or individuals to further their work, seed-funding research and other activity, or in some cases, interest-free loans etc. As part of this process, you have a voice in where and how the money flows.
Talander is the method by which our sharing makes visible the flow and distribution of available funds.
The community can also help the AMT source new streams of income and finance – for example from grateful patients, foundations, grants, or other resources.
