Rudolf Steiner's Relationship with Medicine: The development of Anthroposophic Medicine is one of the central gifts of Steiner’s legacy. From the beginning of his life, with a disabled sibling, Steiner was oriented towards an understanding of the human constitution that could help to understand illness and therapy. This would follow him to his death bed, from where he wrote and dictated The Fundamentals of Therapy with his close colleague Dr Ita Wegman.

Peter Selg was for many years a child and adolescent psychiatrist, involved also in medical education at Witten-Herdecke University. Now he is a co-leader of the General Section of the School for Spiritual in Dornach as well as leader of the Ita Wegman institute in Arlesheim, from where he engages in research and writing about the human and spiritual content of the Anthroposophic Movement.
