Growing in Soul and Body Through Shaping and Burning

  • Thursday, October 29, 2026
  • Sunday, November 01, 2026
  • Glasshouse College, Stourbridge, DY8 4HF

a non-residential study meeting by the Medical Section in GB

Our journeys continue. It began with the Hibernian Mysteries and the student’s experience of human polarities: hard and soft, male and female, Winter and Summer, science and art, past and future. We learned that similarly our human I identity has a hereditary and cosmic part that jointly create who we are, who we become. Like our souls that need to connect but not merge with our bodies, we have to learn to keep moving through these polarities to maintain an overall balance between them…through heart forces, through Christ qualities.

We are also asking: how can we grasp subnature qualities (e.g. energetic qualities such as electro-magnetism) so that it can help our social-therapeutic work? What can we learn in this respect from Daniel N Dunlop (1868-1935), a pioneer UK anthroposophist, enabler and close friend of Rudolf Steiner?

We remain very much (re)searchers and beginners along this way, and therefore warmly invite new as well as past participants to join us for this special study meeting, which will use conversations, contributions, contemplations, patient stories, artistic and eurythmy exercise - and good nutritious food - to help us.

If you feel you would like to connect with this quest, you are most welcome to join us for this study!

The facilitating group includes Susanne Koszyk, Drs Rainer Klocke, Frank Mulder, Saskia Renkema, Peter Hanrath and Matthew Mirkin; Hazel Adams, Ursula Werner, Sarri Tapales and Dr Hans Broder von Laue.

In the light the love

Shaping, rounding

Power of Moon – silver light

You rise up in me.

Burning, consuming

Power of sun – golden light

You sink down in me.

Thus I become forevermore

Rudolf Steiner, Notebook entry, 16 April 1922
